The economic and environmental damages being felt by communities impacted by the Deepwater Horizon leak and the resulting oil slick are deep and far-reaching. Potentially, millions of Floridians who make their livelihood through tourism and fishing, and in a multitude of other ways, are and will be - for months to come - struggling to pay for rent and utilities and put food on the table for their families. Many of those hard-working Floridians were already struggling because of the economic crisis we've been experiencing. Now they've been hit again.
