Disaster Response

The economic and environmental damages being felt by communities impacted by the Deepwater Horizon leak and the resulting oil slick are deep and far-reaching.

Potentially, millions of Floridians who make their livelihood through tourism and fishing, and in a multitude of other ways, are and will be - for months to come - struggling to pay for rent and utilities and put food on the table for their families. Many of those hard-working Floridians were already struggling because of the economic crisis we've been experiencing. Now they've been hit again.

Your contribution to the United Way of Florida Disaster Fund will help those impacted by this disaster in the short- and long-term.
