Our Mission
The United Way of Florida is a statewide association representing Florida’s 28 United Ways on legislative and administrative issues, training, and disaster preparation, response and recovery issues, among others.
We exist to support our statewide United Way network, no matter the size, in a strong, inclusive, and successful system facilitating mutual aid, education and capacity building for all. We do this by fostering opportunities for communication, collaboration, and sharing of ideas amongst our member United Ways.
We envision a Florida where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through Education, Income Stability and Healthy Lives.
The United Way of Florida’s 28 member United Ways lead the state in investing private contributions, generously provided by people from all walks of life, in health, education, income, and safety net initiatives that improve the lives of individuals and families – and entire communities – every day. United Ways are local people solving local problems with local solutions; people and communities that Live United.
